摘要 The invention provides a clock detection method and device, which are used for resolving that current clock detection methods occupy high resources. The method comprises the following steps: a programmable device carries out frequency division on source clock signals generated by a local timing source to obtain reference clock signals (S101); the programmable device takes the source clock signals as count working clocks and determines the rising edge count values and the high level count values of measured clock signals in the period of each high level of continuous N high levels of the reference clock signals(S102), wherein, N is a positive integer; the programmable device determines whether the measured clock signals are valid according to the magnitude relation between the high level count values of the measured clock signals in the period of each high level and a first expected value and the magnitude relation between the rising edge count values and a second expected value(S103). The technical solution of the invention occupies less resources, improves the reliability of the clock detection, and when the frequency ranges of the measured clock signals are relatively wide, it also can filter off the effects of high frequency burrs of several measured clock signals.
