摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology for precisely and stably estimating a position posture of an object body in a three-dimensional space using a plurality of photographed images even in an environment in which self-occlusion is present. <P>SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus which estimates the position posture of an object body in a three-dimensional space includes: input means of inputting a plurality of photographed images obtained by photographing the object body from a plurality of photographing positions; cutting-out means of cutting partial images, corresponding to an area that a predetermined partial space in the three-dimensional space, out of the plurality of respective input photographed images; extraction means of extracting feature information representing features of the plurality of partial images cut out of the plurality of photographed images from the plurality of partial images; storage means of storing dictionary information associating and representing the position posture of the body and the feature information on the body corresponding to the position posture; and estimation means of estimating the position posture of the object body by comparing the feature information on the object body that the extraction means extracts with the feature information represented by the dictionary information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
