<p>The device (1) has a drying space arranged with the functional units (2, 4). One of the functional units comprises an air supply opening for supplying air and an air release opening for discharging air. The air supply opening and the air release opening are spaced apart. A conveyor belt transports the biological material. A material supply port supplies the biological material in the drying space. A material discharge opening discharges the biological material from the drying space. A space-limiting device supplies the biological material to the conveyor belt. An independent claim is also included for a method for drying biological material in a drying space.</p>
