<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for stably producing a toner having a more microfine and more uniform dispersion of a colorant in the toner and having a sharp grain size distribution of the toner by stabilizing material dispersion in a colorant dispersion liquid for a long period of time and inhibiting segregation of the material. <P>SOLUTION: A method for producing a toner includes at least a colorant dispersion step of preparing a colorant dispersion liquid by dispersing a colorant containing a pigment in a mixture liquid that contains the colorant and a resin solution or a polymerizable monomer. The mixture liquid contains a nonionic surfactant; and the nonionic surfactant has at least an oxyalkylene group and shows a hydrophile-lipophile balance value (HLB value) of 9.0 or more and 17.0 or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
