METHOD FOR PRODUCING CARBOXYLIC ACID AMIDE

Disclosed is a method for producing a carboxylic acid amide, which involves a step in which a carboxylic acid ester represented by formula (1) (in the formula, R1 represents an optionally substituted C1-20 hydrocarbon group or an optionally substituted C3-20 heterocyclic group, and R2 represents an optionally substituted C1-20 hydrocarbon group), an amine represented by formula (2) (in the formula, R3 represents a hydrogen atom or an optionally substituted C1-20 hydrocarbon group), and a formamide compound corresponding to the aforementioned amine and represented by formula (3) (in the formula, R3 is as defined above) are reacted in the presence of a metal alkoxide, wherein the carboxylic acid amide thus produced is represented by formula (4) (in the formula, R1 and R3 are as defined above). As a consequence, it is possible to produce the carboxylic acid amide at a high yield.
