<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing structure effectively suppressing the entry of water or the like through an end and capable of being formed by a simpler method. <P>SOLUTION: A sealing structure 1 covering an electronic device arranged on a substrate comprises: a buffer layer 2 mainly composed of an inorganic material; and a barrier layer 3 mainly composed of an inorganic material, having a density higher than that of the buffer layer 2 and layered on the buffer layer 2. The sealing structure 1 is provided with an inclined part 12 including a periphery 11. A thickness of the inclined part 12 is thinner toward the periphery 11.
