PURPOSE: An icebreaker ship with a ford having comb projections is provided to secure efficient icebreaking work by reducing the area of a ford contacting ice. CONSTITUTION: An icebreaker ship breaks ice(1) using a ford(20) formed on the underside of a hull(10). The ford is in a narrow top and wide bottom shape and has one or more comb projections(21) on the top surface thereof in order to break the ice from bottom to top.
