The invention is directed to a core material for closed or open mould systems, to a process for preparing a core material, to a laminate comprising the core material, to a process for preparing a shaped article, to a shaped article, and to the use of said article. The core material of the invention comprises
- at least one fibrous web containing a foam structure within said web, said foam structure being formed of a plurality of members, wherein said members are separated from each other by channels that are permeable to resin,
- a binder, and
- a network of an electrically conductive material.
