A method for coating a body with a coating liquid, the body being arranged above a nozzle through which the coating liquid is to be discharged upwardly, the coating method comprising:
a coating step in which the nozzle and the body are relatively moved in a prescribed coating direction while the body is kept in contact with the coating liquid discharged through the nozzle; and
a non-coating step in which the nozzle and the body are relatively moved to the coating direction while the body is kept detached from the coating liquid, wherein
the two steps of coating and non-coating are alternately repeated, using the nozzle, which has a plurality of slit-shape outlets.
