PURPOSE: A scribing head is provided to prevent the mixture of cullet generated form a brittle material-based substrate in a scribing process by including a main cover for covering an elevating part. CONSTITUTION: A scribing head includes a base plate(11), a top plate, a bottom plate, and an elevating unit. The top plate and the bottom plate are vertically attached to the base plate. The elevating unit is installed between the top plate and the bottom plate and elevates a tip holder. L-shaped covers(31a, 31b, 33a, 33b) and a main cover(35) are further arranged at the scribing head. The L-shaped covers are attached to sidewalls of the top plate and the bottom plate and form stepped parts. The main cover coves the elevating unit. The elevating unit includes a servo motor(14), a ball screw, and a slide block. The ball screw is in connection with the motor shaft of the servo motor. The slid block is attached to the base block to be vertically movable by the ball screw.
