The card (10) has a body incorporating a near field communication antenna (22) and a microcircuit (18) connected to the antenna. The body is formed by functional and compensation layers (30, 32) and defines outer dimensions conformed to ISO 78016standard. A module has a support (20) carrying the antenna and the microcircuit. The functional layer has thickness greater than/equal to half the thickness of the card. Thickness of the support is dimensioned to enable complete housing of the module in the functional layer via an open cavity (34) that is closed by the compensation layer.
