The device (10) has a window-like opening (16) through which a control for correct execution of a test to be performed by the device is visually read. The window-like opening is provided downstream of another window-like opening (14). A line element (18) is provided on a housing (12) at a region of the latter window-like opening, where the line element runs parallel to a test strip and a running direction of the test. The line element cooperates with the latter window-like opening for displaying positive presence of analytes only during presence of the analytes.
