<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which it is very difficult to use a conventional soil sampling device for soil sampling from a small-diameter hole bored by testing equipment such as a Swedish type sounding testing equipment in a sandy soil layer containing much ground water and the wall surface of the hole is collapsible. <P>SOLUTION: A sampling unit comprises a substantially pipy storage part for storing a soil sample and a variable spatula connected to the front side of the storage part. A feeding steel wire for feeding and recovering the sampling unit to and from a position of a predetermined hole is a hard-drawn wire made of austenitic stainless steel of 800 N or more than 800 N with a processing rate of 70%. An operation string, which is integrated with a guide attached to the hard-drawn wire, is operated on the ground, so that the variable spatula collects sandy soil samples containing much ground water. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
