<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passive type infrared detection sensor capable of reducing power consumption when it has a plurality of detection elements and surely detecting an intruder. <P>SOLUTION: The passive type infrared detection sensor has: a plurality of detection elements 2, 3, each of which individually detects infrared emitted by an intruder H in different areas A1 and A2 in a detection area A; a plurality of individual signal processing units 7 for respectively performing signal processing based on a detection signal from each of the detection elements 2, 3; and a detection processing unit 6 that, when detection signals from all of the detection elements 2, 3 indicate an intruder, determines that there is an intruder and makes an output. When at least one signal from the detection elements 2, 3 indicates a noise other than an intruder, it stops signal detection process of the corresponding detection elements 2, 3 individually. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
