<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that when two recording heads are used for recording, resolution of each column data becomes 1/2 of conventional resolution, and since resolution is reduced in the main scanning direction, image quality is reduced. <P>SOLUTION: When recording is performed by carrying out time division driving of a recording head having two nozzle arrays each consisting of a plurality of nozzles ejecting ink of the same color, the next control is performed. Record data received from a host is stored in a receive buffer. Subsequently, the record data stored in the receive buffer is read out, and distributed to record data for driving the recording elements of each nozzle array according to the drive order of time division driving and the number of nozzle arrays prestored on a table. The record data thus distributed is stored in two record data buffers corresponding to respective nozzle arrays. The record data thus stored is transferred, as record data signals, to the recording head and driving of recording elements corresponding to respective nozzle arrays in the recording head is controlled to perform recording by carrying out time division driving at the same timing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
