<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a core-shell catalyst particle, and the core-shell catalyst particle produced by the production method. <P>SOLUTION: The method is provided for producing the core-shell catalyst particle, including a core and a shell for coating the core. The method includes: a step of preparing a core particle containing an alloy, which contains a first core metal material having a standard electrode potential of ≥0.6 V, and which contains a second core metal material having a standard electrode potential lower than that of the first core metal material; a step of eluting the second core metal material at least on a surface of the core particle, on conditions that an equilibrium of the first core metal material is maintained between a metal state and a hydroxide, and the equilibrium of the second core metal material is maintained between the metal state and a metal ion; and a step of coating the core with the shell using the core particle as the core after the elution step of the second core metal material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
