<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display system which can freely and simply display image, which is displayed on the display of a terminal device, on the display screen of another display device. <P>SOLUTION: A display system 1 of an embodiment includes a display device 3 and a terminal device 2. The display device 3 includes a communication unit 36, an operation unit 35, a display unit 34, and display management software 44. If the display management software 44 receives display performance information of the terminal device 2 and identification information of the terminal device 2 from the terminal device 2, the display management software 44 controls to display the information of the terminal device 2, which can be displayed, on the display unit 34, to transmit connection permission to the terminal device 2, and to receive the display data from the terminal device 2 via the communication unit 36 after transmission of connection permission, if the display data from the terminal device 2 can be displayed by the display unit 34 based on the display performance information of the terminal device 2.
