342,808. Cleaning beer-engine and other pipes. GREEN, H. E., Holdernesse, Hornchurch, Essex. Nov. 19, 1929, No. 35375. [Class 99 (ii).] The suction and delivery pipes d, 12 of a number of beer engines &c. 1 are cleaned by connecting them in series and then circulating water, or small beads &c., through the circuit. The beer engines are provided with valved junctions 5, 8 at their inlets and outlets so that during the cleaning operation they may be bypassed. In cleaning, Fig. 4, the delivery pipes 12 are connected in pairs by flexible pipes 13, the lower end of the suction pipes d by pipes 11 as shown, a circulating pump 17 being fitted in one of them, and the junctions 5, 8 are also connected together. A filter 16 may be included in the circuit. When it is desired to clean the suction pipes only, instead of connecting the junctions 5 to the junctions 8 they are connected in pairs by pipes 6. |
