<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize improvement of reliability in optical coupling of an optical semiconductor element and an optical transmission line, in an optical transmission line holding member for optical coupling of an optical semiconductor element and an optical transmission line. <P>SOLUTION: An optical transmission line holding member comprises: a holding hole 2 for holding an optical transmission line; and an electrical wiring 5 which is provided on an optical semiconductor element mounting surface 4 comprising one opening 3 of the holding hole 2 and is for mounting an optical semiconductor element.
