<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner container and an image forming apparatus which achieve high operability of the toner container, sufficiently ensure the dimensional accuracy and mechanical strength of a cap portion of the container even when the cap portion has a complicated structure, and are relatively inexpensive. <P>SOLUTION: The toner container includes: a cap portion 34Y into which an opening of a cylindrical container body is inserted and which has a toner outlet W at a bottom for discharging a toner discharged from the container body to the outside of the container; and a shutter member which is held on the bottom of the cap portion 34Y and opens and closes the toner outlet W.
