<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a track ball equipped with an image sensor capable of detecting both horizontal axial rotation and vertical axial rotation with a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: A track ball 10 equipped with an image sensor has a structure in which an image sensor 5 using a ball 1 as an object to be detected is disposed in the vicinity of the ball 1 of the track ball. The horizontal axial rotation H1 and H2 and the vertical axial rotation V of the ball 1 can be detected by the image sensor 5.
