<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce data movement among nodes upon increasing/decreasing node numbers. <P>SOLUTION: A node determination apparatus 101 associates respective different functions f_1() to f_3() for every node N1 to N3. The node determination apparatus 101 substitutes a key k of data D for the functions f_1(), f_2(), and f_3() for every node N1 to N3 respectively to calculate function values f_1(k), f_2(k), and f_3(k) for every node N1 to N3.
