<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition switch device which is downsized by reducing the vertical dimension thereof and improved in waterproofness and operability. <P>SOLUTION: The ignition switch device is formed of a rotor 1 which is turnable among a turned-on position, a turned-off position, and a steering locking position, and a key cylinder 2 for storing therein the rotor 1. The ignition switch device is comprised of; a lug portion 1a which is integrally formed with the rotor 1; a pin-shaped member 3 which inhibits the rotor 1 from rotating with respect to the key cylinder 2 when the rotor 1 is at the turned-off position or the steering locking position; and a magnet lock 5 which is formed with a magnet piece 5a dislocatable upon fitting therein a magnet key having a magnet formed at a predetermined location thereof, by a magnetic force of the magnet to cancel engagement, and can cancel inhibition of rotation of the rotor 1 by the pin-shaped member 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
