摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To predict whether design of signal transmission quality is achieved or not achieved by recognizing transmission path characteristics different by every laid fiber by simple measurement. <P>SOLUTION: The invention: acquires a measured value of zero-dispersion wavelength or a measured value of wavelength dispersion of an optical fiber transmission path section as an input variable; calculates an evaluation parameter representing signal quality depending on interference between channels due to a nonlinear effect in the optical fiber transmission path section, or its deterioration amount, or size of deterioration factors; outputs the evaluation parameter as an output variable; or outputs a determination result of success or failure of optical transmission design using the evaluation parameter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
