FIELD: mining. ^ SUBSTANCE: aluminium-containing components of high-silica aluminium ores are decomposed at leaching thus forming hydroaluminasilicates of alkali metals. Hydroaluminasilicates are decomposed by treating the slurry with weak solution of strong acid at low temperatures. At that, aluminium and alkali metals are converted to the solution from which aluminium hydroxide is obtained. ^ EFFECT: reducing the costs and increasing the output of aluminium oxide.
