<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display data of different data formats by respectively suitable expression formats in a programmable display. <P>SOLUTION: A data memory 26 stores sampling data obtained from a device 6 or the like sampled by a PLC5 and control recipe data to be given to the PLC5. The sampling data and the recipe data include a plurality of data of different data formats in a mixed state. A sampling data display processing section 211 displays each data included in the sampling data by an expression format suited to each data format. For instance, the sampling data display processing section 211 displays numerical data of 16 bits or 32 bits by an integer, displays data (character codes) of a character string as the character string and displays the bit data by a format of ON/OFF or the like.
