The device (105) has a gas discharge device for producing a flash light, and a focusing device for focusing the produced flash light, where the focusing device is formed as a fiber-optic light guide and a reflector device. A filter attachment is provided with a filtering effect in a range between 400 and 410 nm. The focusing device produces voltage in a range from 400 to 500 volts. An attaching device is attached for the flash device on a head of a user. A light-emitting device is provided for curing a light-curing- material and designed as an LED lamp. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for curing a light-curing- material (2) a device comprising a retention device receiving an amount of light-curing-material.
