TRANSMISSION DEVICE OF BROADCAST SERVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit a program schedule table required for accumulating and reserving a content file on a reception side when the content file is transmitted by a broadcast wave of digital broadcast.

SOLUTION: In the transmission device 1, the program schedule table includes: a service ID for uniquely designating a service for broadcasting each of the content files; an event identifier for uniquely displaying a program event for down-loading a start time, broadcast duration and the content files; and a file transmission descriptor. The file transmission descriptor includes: a content organization section 10 configuring to include file type information for identifying a content of the content file; a PSI/SI generation encoding section 12 transmitting the program schedule table at a prescribed interval; and a carousel processing section 11 transmitting the content file having the event identifier associated by the file type information in the program schedule table by a carousel system in a data block.
