摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon material for a lithium secondary cell negative electrode that further improves charge/discharge cycle characteristics of a lithium ion secondary cell, and also enhances initial charge/discharge efficiency (initial discharge capacity/initial charge capacity). <P>SOLUTION: The carbon material for the lithium secondary cell negative electrode includes composite particles which consist of particles including silicon oxide represented by SiO<SB POS="POST">X</SB>(0<X&le;2) and a resin carbon material, and which are characterized in that an average content of silicon nitride (X=2) contained in the entire surface of the composite particle is 0.2 or more and 0.6 or less, and the value of (the average content of the silicon nitride (X=2) contained in the entire surface of the composite particle)/(an average content of silicon nitride (X=2) contained in a region from the surface of the composite particle to a section appearing at a point of 100 nm in depth of the composite particle) is 0.3 or more and 0.7 or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
