<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backlight device capable of controlling appropriately backlash of a light guide plate even if the light guide plate is deformed at high or low temperature, and to provide a liquid crystal display device. <P>SOLUTION: The backlight device is provided with light-emitting body LEDs, a light guide plate 6 which has a pair of recessed parts 61 formed in concave shape and illuminates light emitted from the light-emitting body LEDs in a prescribed irradiation direction, a housing frame 2 which is formed in a box shape capable of housing the light guide plate 6, and a pair of elastic members 4 which are arranged to be in contact with an inner wall of the housing frame 2 and can press the light guide plate 6. The elastic members 4 have a projected part 41 which is at least partially in contact with the recessed parts 61 formed in the light guide plate 6 and can press the recessed parts 61, and the projected part 41 is formed so as to be positioned in the vicinity of the outside of the recessed parts 61 at the time of normal temperature. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
