PURPOSE: A caption phone for a hearing-impaired person is provided to display a character on a monitor screen with a voice, thereby enabling a person of bad hearing to smoothly have a phone call. CONSTITUTION: An input unit(101) receives a sending sound and a receiving sound. A decoder(103) decodes the receiving sound of a memory(102). A signal separation unit(104) divides a signal passed through the decoder into a voice signal and a text signal. A voice signal processing unit(105) processes the divided voice signal. A text signal processing unit(106) processes the divided text signal by a caption. A monitor(107) displays the caption on a screen. A manipulation unit(109) transfers an operation command to a control unit(108). |
