<p>A battery pack includes a battery and a cooling section which cools the battery. The cooling section includes a cooling agent and a container in which the cooling agent is enclosed. The container can have formed therein a discharge opening for discharging the cooling agent at a first temperature higher than or equal to 100°C. The cooling section is disposed so that the cooling agent discharged from the discharge opening of the container spreads over the main surface of the battery. The cooling agent can include water, a surface-active agent, and metallic soap. The cooling agent can further include a foaming promoting agent which can foam the cooling agent at a temperature higher than or equal to 100°C.</p>
