<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a membrane electrode laminate for fuel cell which ensures stabilized power generation in a broad humidification conditions. <P>SOLUTION: The membrane electrode assembly for fuel cell comprises an electrolyte film 10, and an oxidation electrode 32 and a fuel electrode 34 which hold the electrolyte film 10 on the opposite sides thereof. The oxidation electrode 32 includes an oxidation electrode catalyst layer 12 and an oxidation electrode diffusion layer 16 sequentially from the electrolyte film 10 side. The fuel electrode 34 includes a fuel electrode catalyst layer 14, a fuel electrode water retention layer 36 and a fuel electrode diffusion layer 38 sequentially from the electrolyte film 10 side. The fuel electrode water retention layer 36 contains a fibrous conductive material, and a water absorptive polymer electrolyte where the basis weight of the fuel electrode water retention layer is 1.6-3.0 mg/cm<SP POS="POST">2</SP>, and the thickness thereof is 50-150 μm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
