<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide article conveying equipment, the operation of which can be prevented from being stopped over a long period of time when receiving an earthquake early warning. <P>SOLUTION: When a receiving terminal receives the earthquake early warning, normal stop control for stopping a conveying operation of the conveying equipment while keeping an electric power supply means in a supply state is performed. During a standby period until the lapse of a set time T after the receiving terminal receives the earthquake early warning, it is determined whether or not the electric power supply means has to be switched to a nonsupply state, on the basis of detection information of an earthquake detecting means. When it is determined that the electric power supply means has to be switched to the nonsupply state, the electric power supply means is switched to the nonsupply state. And, it is determined whether or not the restart of the conveying operation of the conveying equipment is permitted, on the basis of the detection information of the earthquake detecting means during the standby period.
