PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To bond an objective protein for immobilization with a carrier by a covalent bond without losing the function of the protein before the immobilization totally.

SOLUTION: In this immobilized protein obtained by immobilizing the protein on a carrier (1) consisting of an inorganic porous continuous body, as a form of a controlled orientation by the covalent bond through a mediating protein (2), the mediating protein (2) does not contain lysine and cysteine, the carboxy terminal of the mediating protein (2) is immobilized on the surface of the carrier (1) by the covalent bond through an amide bond (5), and the carboxyl group of the side chain of an aspartic acid residue or a glutamic acid residue in the mediating protein (2) immobilized on the carrier (1) bonds with the amino group at the side chain of the lysine residue in the objective protein (3) through the amide bond (5).
