<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ferrule easily-shaped and capable of reducing variation in an outgoing direction. <P>SOLUTION: A ferrule 1 that is attached at a tip of an optical fiber 2 and optically connects the optical fiber 2 with other optical parts includes: positioning means 7 that positions an intermediate part of the optical fiber 2; a first inner wall 6b that allows projection of a tip part of the optical fiber 2 positioned by the positioning means; and a concave area 6 that at least has a second inner wall 6a facing the first inner wall 6b. A distance L between the first inner wall 6b and the second inner wall 6a is equal to or less than the quadruple of an outer diameter D of the optical fiber 2, and the optical fiber 2 can be fixed while projecting from the first inner wall 6b and almost abutting on the second inner wall 6a by hardening an adhesive 4 filled at the concave place 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
