<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waveguide type spectrophotometer that is capable of spectrophotometry in a broad wavelength range and with high resolution, and is sturdy and compact. <P>SOLUTION: In a spectrophotometer, light rays to be measured are condensed by an optical input unit 101 and inputted to a light branching circuit 104 via an optical fiber 102; the light branching circuit 104 branches the input light to N optical waveguides into which optical filters, each transmitting light of a different wavelength band, are inserted; reference sign 105 denotes a multi-layered array waveguide diffraction grating formed by stacking N array waveguide diffraction gratings; N light rays of different wavelength bands outputted from the light branching circuit 104 are inputted to respectively corresponding array waveguide diffraction grating layers; each array waveguide diffraction grating layer branches the light ray inputted to it and outputs the branched rays to M optical waveguides, and the output ray of each array waveguide diffraction grating layer is received by a light receiving part 106. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
