Method for planning an automation network

The method involves determining two set of frequency ranges (100, 102, 104, 106) of two channels of two wireless communication networks, respectively, and determining overlapping of the two frequency ranges. Center frequencies of the respective channels are adjusted when the overlapping is determined. Network coverage of both the networks is simulated under consideration of spatial surroundings of the networks. Two values as a measure for quality of two signals are compared with each other for simulating the coverage. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a network component comprising a determination unit (2) a computer readable medium comprising instructions to perform a method for planning an automation network.
