<p>Air-insulated switchgear, AIS, for switching an electrical current at an upper medium voltage or high voltage, comprises
a busbar section (112) comprising a set of parallel, air-insulated busbars (114a-c, 214a, 314a) sharing the same open space, said busbars (114a-c, 214a, 314a) being arranged at a distance (D 114 ) from each other exceeding an insulating distance, and being supported at a distance exceeding an insulating distance above the ground; and
a first set of cable terminations (132a-c), each cable termination (132a-c) of said first set of cable terminations (132a-c) being connected to a respective underground cable conductor (118a-c), and further being connected to a respective busbar (114a-c, 214a, 314a) via a respective circuit-breaker (122a-c, 322a), wherein at least one cable termination (132b-c) of said first set of cable terminations (132a-c), and the respective circuit-breaker/-s (122b-c) associated with said at least one cable termination (132b-c) of said first set (132a-c), are located directly below the busbar section (112).</p> |
