A garment hanger rail is provided along its length with a series of openings 2 and on its upper surface with a series of grooves 4, with the openings and the grooves in a staggered relationship with each other. One garment hanger may be hung in each hole or opening and another garment hanger in each groove. The offset between the groves and the holes allows more garment hangers to be hung on the length of the rail. The grooves may be formed as gaps between protrusions 3 on the upper surface of the rail. The rail may be used during transport of clothing or in a wardrobe to increase the number of clothes hangers held on the rail. |
