<p>An apparatus, and an associated method, for a mobile device, or other portable electronic device, tags a captured image with geographical indicia. The mobile device includes camera functionality to capture an image. A determination is made of the geographic positioning of the mobile device at, or close to, the time at which the image is captured. A geographical indicia is associated with the geographic positioning. And, the geographical indicia is used to tag the image, such as to provide a name to the image file containing the image.</p> |
