The method involves associating sites with an interface of routers (2-5) e.g. provider edge router, or a switch. Information relating to a source interface and a destination interface contained in an accounting element are utilized in order to identify source and destination sites and to classify the accounting element with respect to correct source or destination entities during an analysis of the accounting element originating from the router or switch. Each site is identified by a geographical repository that associates a set of internet protocol addresses with the site. |
