<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio repeating device and a power saving control method which can lengthen use time reducing power consumption depending on the connection state of a wireless LAN terminal. <P>SOLUTION: A radio repeating device selects one from a plurality of radio communication lines at a WAN side, and performs relay processing between a network connected with the radio communication line and a wireless LAN terminal connected with a wireless LAN at a LAN side. The radio repeating device comprises: power saving control means which monitors the connection state of the wireless LAN terminal, and when the wireless LAN terminal is connected, sets to normal operation, in which all the functions of the radio repeating device are operated, and when the wireless LAN terminal is not connected, sets to power saving operation, in which part of the functions of the radio repeating device are stopped; and connection request detection means which operates during power saving operation, and activates each of inactive functions when a connection request from the wireless LAN terminal has been received, and shifts the radio repeating device to normal operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
