<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that a power generation system using geothermal energy can not be used in an area where the geothermal energy is not acquired. <P>SOLUTION: A power generation system includes: a heat pump including a compressor; a power generator in which a turbine is rotated by the energy of a working medium heated/vaporized by the heat pump and power is generated by the rotation of the turbine and from which the generated power is supplied; a circulation means for sending the working medium from the turbine; and a control part.
