Disclosed is a scroll compressor that uses a refrigerant with, as the main component thereof, hydrofluoroolefin that contains a carbon-carbon double bond that has low ozone-depleting and global-warming potential. Said compressor comprises: a discharge hole (18) that opens into a discharge chamber, disposed at an end plate central position in a fixed scroll (12); a bypass hole (68) that communicates between a compression chamber and the discharge chamber prior to communicating between the compression chamber (15) and the discharge hole (18), disposed in the end plate of the fixed scroll; and a non-return valve (19) that allows flow from the compression chamber side to the discharge chamber side, disposed in the bypass hole (68); thereby reducing the impact on the global environment, suppressing temperature increases associated with over-compression, and suppressing decomposition of refrigerant even after long-term use.
