Disclosed herein is a compound which is 4-[4-(2-adamantylcarbamoyl)-5-tert-butyl-pyrazol-1-yl] benzoic acid, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. Pharmaceutical compositions comprising said compounds, processes for its preparation and crystalline forms are also disclosed. Said compounds possess human 11-beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase type 1 enzyme (11âHSD1) inhibitory activity and therefore are useful in the treatment of disease states including metabolic syndrome, diabetes, obesity, hyperlipidemia, hyperglycaemia, hyperinsulinemia or hypertension, glaucoma, osteoporosis, tuberculosis, dementia, cognitive disorders or depression.
