<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of forming an LED lamp by dispersing a phosphor in a desired state. <P>SOLUTION: The method includes a step in which a plurality of phosphor particles are mixed with uncured polymer resin, viscosity of the resin being controllable according to temperature, so that a substantially uniform suspension of the phosphor particles is formed in the resin. Then the uncured resin is arranged at a defined position adjoining an LED chip and the temperature of the resin is raised to decrease the viscosity of the resin correspondingly, the temperature being lower than a temperature at which the resin is cured inadequately at a high speed. The phosphor particles precipitate at a desired position for the LED chip in the resin having decreased in viscosity, and then the temperature of the resin is raised up to a temperature at which the resin is cured to become solid. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
