<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet folding device capable of simultaneously performing a folding processing even while performing a non-folding processing, contributing to the improvement of post-treatment productivity, and achieving energy savings and space savings. <P>SOLUTION: The sheet folding device that sandwiches a sheet discharged from an image forming apparatus between a folding roller pair and performs the folding processing includes a plurality of edge stopper means 51, 52 and 53 that deflect the sheet to cause the rollers to sandwich the deflected part, and determine a folding position in the conveying direction, and a conveying roller that forms the deflection by causing the sheet to abut against the stopper means. The folding roller pairs are close to each other and composed of a first sandwiching part formed of a first folding roller 21 and a second folding roller 22, a second sandwiching part formed of the second folding roller 22 and a third folding roller 23, and a third sandwiching part formed of a fourth folding roller 24 and a fifth folding roller 25.
