PURPOSE: A power generator is provided to facilitate maintenance by preventing excessive increase of driving torque. CONSTITUTION: A power generator(20) comprises first and second pressure sensors(52,56), a flow regulating valve(44), and a controller(28). The flow regulating valve controls pressure supplied to a steam turbine(22). Detection value of a steam supply pressure by the first pressure sensor and steam exhaust pressure by the second pressure sensor are inputted to the controller. The controller calculates driving torque of the steam turbine based on detected values and a pre-set specification value of the steam turbine. The controller controls the flow regulating valve in order that the driving torque doesn't exceed pre-set maximum load torque.
