<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic book display device capable of simply and promptly performing operations of putting a bookmark and briefly turning a page back as if a user is actually turning a page in performing a brief page turning/turning back operations to browse an electronic book unlike a conventional device which requires the user to press a button on a screen, or make a bookmark and turn a page back using an operation part. <P>SOLUTION: In a touch panel 102, before an user slides a right finger 111, or when the user places it in a position 111a, by pressing a position 112a in the vicinity of a display position 122a of Japanese Kana letters with a left finger 112, an electronic book display device detects the positions 111a and 112a as detection points.
